Body Cellulite Wrap: Revealing the Facts and Fiction

A product named as body cellulite wrap was introduced in the era of 1980s. It promised to burn fat and lose four to six inches while sleeping during the first day of use. It gained popularity among the people in no time with a hope that they might lose substantial weight without any trouble within days.

This and similar products are available in most health spas and saloons. Body cellulite wrap is different from other anti cellulite treatments in that it does not include massages or any surgical treatments. Instead, body cellulite wraps are made of specially designed clothing combined with topical anti-cellulite products to be applied onto the skin.

Body cellulite wrap like the others, promises to burn fat and removes several inches of it from the bum, thighs and other fatty areas of the body. Although these body cellulite wrap have no scientific proof to back up its claims, the theory behind body cellulite wrap is that cellulite is waterlogged fatty tissues, making it possible for the piece of clothing to burn and melt these fats away easily.

How Does A Body Cellulite Wrap Work?

A body cellulite wrap is made of either plastic or rubber. This anti cellulite wrap can be worn around hips, thighs, arms, legs and stomach. You can wear the body wrap any time around, whether at work, doing the daily chores, while sleeping or whether watching the TV. Some body wraps use hair dryers to blow warm air into the wrap while others are inflated by a vacuum cleaner. Thus different techniques are applied in different makes.

But one thing that is common in all is that all of them claim that they can eliminate the unnecessary fats from one’s body. And the claim is true as well but on a temporary basis. One can lose inches to the desired level but can easily put them back by improper eating.

The use of these body cellulite wrap can also cause some side effects. You could suffer from extreme dehydration due to excessive loss of fluids from your body. This could also result in imbalances of electrolytes in the body. So I would recommend you to get an advice from a well know health spa.
